ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Greg!

I’m an American Chef, Husband and Dad who started cooking at a young age and continues to cook personally to this day. Graduated from Johnson & Wales College Culinary Arts Program and have cooked in several restaurants in different cuisines over the course of my cooking career.

This book was inspired by the many conversations that I've had over the course of my personal life where I would be asked to provide tips or instructions on how to cook certain items by friends and acquaintances who were intimidated by the thought of cooking for themselves or others. This book is designed with the beginner in mind as well as the person who may have been cooking for a while but was never given proper instructions. This book is structured in a way to help the person who has just arrived at the place in life where they now must either cook for themselves or buy prepared meals to eat.

This is more of a "How to cook" book than a recipe book. The book focuses more on teaching the basic fundamentals of how to prepare and cook food in different styles, select grocery items, read recipes, etc. It also includes some of my favorite recipes that you won't find anywhere else along with some traditional favorites that can be prepared fairly easily.
